Following reports including post-operative pain, repeat surgery and tissue adherence on 16 April 2003, GYNECARE Worldwide and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH) announced the voluntary market withdrawal of "GYNECARE INTERGEL Adhesion Prevention Solution" urging customers to immediately stop using this device.
