Open and Closed Head Injuries
Thank you for all your time and excellent work and rest assured that if myself or family or friends require any legal help in the future I will refer them to yourselves.
Michael, Crawley
'Open head injuries' refer to injuries where the skull has been penetrated; an example of this includes a gunshot or a sharp object, which has pierced the skull.
'Closed head injuries' refer to injuries where the skull remains intact, an example of this is shaken baby syndrome, or a car accident where a collision caused the brain to jolt, causing tissue damage as it impacts against the skull. There is no visible wound with closed head injuries.
