Alexander Harris have received hundreds of calls from holiday makers who have been ill whilst overseas in popular tourist destinations. Our injury and illness overseas department has today received enquiries concerning a potential outbreak of Cryptosporidium at the Club Excelsior and Excelsior Apartments in Marmaris, Turkey. Alexander Harris are already representing over 1000 clients following an outbreak of Cryptosporidium at the Alcudia Pins hotel in Majorca. Cryptosporidium is a waterborne parasite which can be particularly serious for the young, the elderly and those with any immuno-deficiency. The symptoms, which include diarrhoea and sickness can be debilitating. It is important that anyone who suspects they may have any symptoms should seek urgent medical advice.
