GP who killed patients with overdose of diamorphine charged

A doctor accused of killing a patient with a lethal overdose has been charged with two further counts of murder.
Howard Martin, who now lives in Wales, was charged last year with murdering Harry Gittins,aged 74.
He denies the charge and will stand trial.
He was also charged with two further counts of murder earlier this week. He will appear at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates' Court later this week.
Mr Martin had surgeries in Shildon, Bishop Auckland and Newton Aycliffe.
He was charged in August last year with killing Mr Gittins with an overdose of diamorphine.
