Mr J had an accident and fractured his ankle. The fracture was diagnosed but mismanaged when the fracture was fixed internally without being sufficiently reduced. He required a second operation some months later but this did not rectify the situation.
Mr J now has pain, discomfort and a very stiff ankle. He is unable to play the sport he regularly did pre-accident. He suffered depression and attended counselling to help cope with the trauma and was diagnosed with a moderate adjustment disorder. His claim was settled for £50,000.
