Barry, Doncaster

A review of the maternity unit at Bolton Royal Hospital will be carried out after it emerged that three women died in childbirth at Bolton Royal Hospital within the space of four months.

"It is very worrying that a number of women have died in one maternity unit in such a short time. This must be thoroughly investigated, and proper checks put in place to ensure it does not happen again," said clinical negligence solicitor Louise Hunt, who represents the family of a woman who died giving birth at New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton.

Alexander Harris also represents the family of a woman who died giving birth at Northwick Park hospital in London.
