Sheffield City Council Admits Liability For Leaving A Drain Dangerously Uncovered
26/01/2012
On 19th September, our client was about to cross a road when his foot dropped into an open drain that had been overlooked by Sheffield City Council.
The man suffered injuries to his thumb and right leg in the fall and was given a plaster cast by the fracture clinic at the Northern General Hospital.
Sheffield City Council admitted liability for the accident and Irwin Mitchell solicitors helped our client to receive £2,437 in compensation.
Luckily, the injuries to our client’s leg healed with only a small scar, however, he did find completing house-hold tasks difficult for the duration of the healing period.
