Jane, an elderly lady was travelling in the back seat of a car, when the driver lost control of the car and crashed into a wall.
Jane suffered a broken breast bone, bruising to her chest, soft tissue injury to her neck and shoulders, as well as shock and anxiety.
Following the accident Jane was unable to get out of bed without assistance as a result of her injuries. She had to go and live in a nursing home for two weeks following the accident, as she had no one to help her at home.
