National Service Framework(NSF) sets out guidelines for care of people with neurological conditions

May I thank you for the way my accident claim has been handled, after my accident my confidence was very low indeed but the sympathetic handling of my case restored my confidence.
John, Sheffield
The government today launched the National Service Framework for Long-term Conditions (NSF), to set out plans for improved health and social care services for people with long-term neurological conditions.
The framework will outline a range of quality standards.
There are about 10 million people in the UK with a neurological condition. This includes people who have suffered a brain injury.
Alexander Harris represents people who have suffered a brain injury from birth, such as cerebral palsy, or through personal injury including road traffic accidents; accidents at work; injury overseas; and criminal injury.
Nicola Castle, specialist brain injury solicitor at Alexander Harris said:
"Our brain injured clients often highlight a lack of support and services available to them. We welcome the national service framework, and hope that it will help to establish a clear set of guidelines for healthcare professionals to work with, to provide brain injured survivors with the help and support they need."
