Marathon money raiser for spinal injury charity

Four runners representing Alexander Harris are set to run the London Marathon this weekend.
Jenny Cocker, Ian Smith, Chinyere Ezuma and Sarah Moore have raised more than £6000 between them, for the charity ASPIRE which is Alexander Harris' current charity of the year.
Ian Smith will also take on the New York marathon in November of this year increasing his total raised to around £2500 for the charity. Ian whose wife Emma Smith works for the health law firm said: "Through the work done with Alexander Harris I have come to understand the charity well and believe it is an excellent cause to support."
ASPIRE works with people with spinal cord injuries to create opportunity, choice and independence. This is done in a number of ways: by funding research into disability technologies, providing grants for specialist equipment to improve an individual's mobility and rehabilitation, offering interim accommodation for newly discharged patients, providing access to IT training for all and encouraging full integration with able bodied people in fitness and sporting activities.
