I would like to thank you and your colleagues for the kindness shown to myself and my wife. I class myself as very fortunate to have met such kind and caring people.

TRAFFORD'S expanding legal scene has received a double boost.
Fast-growing
Silverbeck Rymer has moved from Newton Street, near Piccadilly,
Manchester, to bigger premises at Oakland House, Talbot Road, Old
Trafford, and plans to set up a 24-hour call centre there for clients.
And
Simpson Millar has moved from Seymour Grove, Trafford Plaza, to bigger
offices in the former RAC building, Trafford House, Chester Road, Old
Trafford, and is primed for growth after clinching a major contract.
Silverbeck Rymer established its Manchester office in June 2000 and in January this year had 12 staff.
Since then, its numbers have swelled to more than 50 and further recruitment is planned this year.
The firm focuses on civil litigation, in particular claimant and defendant insurance work and employment law.
It was founded in Liverpool in 1947 and opened a Chelmsford branch in 1997.
Nationwide,
there are nine partners, nine associate partners and more than 250
staff. Silverbeck Rymer is the second major arrival in Trafford this
year.
Workforce
Simpson Millar has increased its Old Trafford-based workforce from five to 30 in the past two years.
The
office has six lawyers, including equity partner Lisa Sheldon, who runs
a department dedicated to serving the needs of its major client, the
Communications Workers' Union.
Lynn Carlin has joined as office
manager from Pannone and Partners. Simpson Millar also has specialist
road accident, industrial diseases and personal injury teams at Old
Trafford.
It has signed a contract with the 300,000-member CWU to carry out more work, which will bring extra jobs.
Trafford
Law Society president Lesley Herbertson, 35, a partner at Altrincham
practice Alexander Harris and the head of its clinical negligence
department, said: "These developments are a real boost for Trafford.
It's great to see that the area can attract national practices. There
are clear reasons for being in Trafford - access is easy and office
overheads are lower than Manchester city centre."
