Alexander Harris now act for nearly 300 people who were flown out to Mexico immediately before Hurricane Wilma hit.

Hurricane Wilma hit Cancun in October 2005. Hundreds of British tourists were in Mexico at the time and had their holiday ruined, as well as facing the prospect of serious injury.

Alexander Harris were first approached by disgruntled holiday makers in October 2005.

"We currently act for over 290 people who were flown out to Mexico in the days immediately before Hurricane Wilma hit Cancun," said specialist travel litigation solicitor Simon Taylor.

"Those holidaymakers feel that the tour operators should have been aware of the oncoming hurricane, in which case they had a duty to inform customers and to offer full refunds."

"There are also strong suggestions that the tour operators did not do enough to care for their customers who were already in the resort. This would also amount to a breach of regulations, for which customers would be entitled to compensation."

"Anybody who was in Mexico at the time of the hurricane may be entitled to compensation and should seek specialist legal advice," added Simon.
