Compensation For Man Injured When Medical Brace Failed

A man who has worn an orthosis and a special boot on his left leg all his life has received compensation after the brace snapped causing him to suffer injuries.
Irwin Mitchell has assisted this client to obtain £8,000 in an out of court settlement for his injuries.
Our client was in the garden when the orthosis snapped without any warning causing him to fall to the ground and injure his left foot.
He was taken to hospital and it was found that he had sustained fractures to his foot. The hospital treated these conservatively with a supportive orthosis which he wore for 13 months.
