12/01/2012

Irwin Mitchell has helped a cyclist to receive compensation after he fell off his bike because of a pothole.

In November 2009 our client was cycling to work in London. He was at at junction near Union Street when he fall off his bike because of a a pothole that had formed in the road.

Our client sustained injuries including a graze to his hand and jaw and a 3 centimetre laceration to his chin. His physical injuries resolved within a week but it took a month for his anxieties to resolve and his sleep to improve. He has been left with a small scar.

Irwin Mitchell brought proceeding against Southwark Council who admitted liability for our client's injuries and an out of court settlement of £1,400 was reached.
