Ann's story - pedestrian hit and run accident
We just wanted to say thank you. We will never be able to repay you or express how grateful we are to you for all the support and help. There would have been no one in the world that we would have had in preference to you to act for us.
John, Newcastle Upon Tyne
Ann, 42, suffered catastrophic head injuries in a road traffic accident.
Ann was out shopping with her sister when a car driven by an uninsured, unlicensed driver mounted the pavement and struck her whilst trying to get away from another vehicle which he had just hit.
Ann was struck at considerable speed and suffered very serious head injuries as a result of which she spent over a month in intensive care. Ann was ultimately discharged to the care of her partner and now requires twenty-four hour care.
Specialist Catastrophic Injury Solicitor Jonathan Betts acts for Ann in her claim against the Motor Insurance Bureau (MIB).
"The family were in desperate need of both financial assistance and help looking after Ann. I therefore managed to secure a substantial interim payment very swiftly to try to help with the family's financial difficulties, as well as instructing a Case Manager to implement a care regime to look after Ann, who has twenty-four hour needs," said Jonathan.
Jonathan remains very positive about the future for Ann and her family: "I hope to ensure that appropriate financial provision is made for all of Ann's needs and those of her family for the rest of her life."
