Necrotising Fasciitis
Thank you for all your time and excellent work and rest assured that if myself or family or friends require any legal help in the future I will refer them to yourselves.
Michael, Crawley
Being caused by a variety of aerobic and anaerobic bacteria it is a rapidly progressive and destructive infection of the subcutaneous tissues associated with substantial mortality and long-term morbidity.
First described by Meleney in 1924 Necrotising Fasciitis (NF) caused by Group A beta-haemolytic streptococci is considered a severe and relatively rare disease.
Recently there has been a dramatic increase in the number of reported cases, with the media quickly naming the disease "the flesh-eating bacteria syndrome"
