Fibroids

I would like to thank you again for the speedy and sensitive way in which you have dealt with this matter. I would have no hesitation in recommending your firm to anyone in the future.

Pamela, Castleford

Present in 20 per cent of women of reproductive age, fibroids are benign tumours of the womb but it is uncommon for them to be detected in women under 30.

Growths of smooth muscle and fibrous tissue, of widely varying size, but they may become quite large.

In rare cases, malignant growths on the smooth muscles inside the womb can develop, called leiomyosarcoma of the uterus.
